DT Creative was brought on to promote the opening of Lake Nona Wave Hotel and as a result, the team cemented the property as one of the most innovative hotel openings of 2022. Headlines in Forbes, Hemispheres Magazine, Men’s Journal and more named it one of the Best Hotel Openings of 2022. Travel + Leisure ran two feature stories with headlines like “A Futuristic Hotel Is Coming to Orlando – Self-driving Cars and Smart Rooms Included,” and other headlines applauded Lake Nona for “Transforming Orlando’s Hospitality Landscape.” We secured thought leadership pieces for the hotel’s General Manager in a variety of business publications as well as broadcasts from Good Day Orlando to Cheddar TV. We secured partners for the hotel’s collection of high-tech wellness rooms resulting in HGTV’s story, “This Smart Hotel Uses Science and Smart Products to Deliver the Best Night's Sleep,” among many others. In total, the team produced 115 placements and over 1.7 billion impressions within the first year of opening.
